Jun 7, 2021 路 Today, alcohol proof is calculated differently depending on the country. Here are three ways it is measured: In the United States: U.S. law considers alcohol proof to be twice the ABV percentage. So a liquor containing 60 percent alcohol in the U.S. would be 120 proof. In France: The French proof system, the Gay-Lussac scale, was developed by
Feb 2, 2019 路 I just switched from a 90/90 to a 90/100 Washougal II for trail riding. I almost returned it for a 80/100 but figured for $45 I'd give it a try. I'm not noticing much of a difference. So I would say buy whatever you can find cheaper.
100/90-R18 tires are 0.71 inches (18 mm) smaller in diameter than 110/90-R18 tires and the speedometer difference is 2.8%.
90/90-R19 tires are 2.71 inches (68.8 mm) smaller in diameter than 90/100-R21 tires and the speedometer difference is 9.7%

Oct 11, 2006 路 And for the front I see tube sizes listed as 2.75/3.00-21. Only 90/90-21 I could find was Michelin. I'm guessing the 90 is not mm because that would be 3.5" and the front rim is closer to 2.75" maybe 3. Michelin has a note on the bottom that says a 90/90-21 will also fit 80/100-21 and 2.75/3.00-21. #1.
100/80-R18 tires are 0.79 inches (20 mm) smaller in diameter than 100/90-R18 tires and the speedometer difference is 3.1%.
Nov 9, 2011 路 (2) 90/100-21 --- 90mm x 100% = 90mm Therefore, a 90/100-21 tire is 10mm (~ 0.4 inches almost a 1/2 inch!) taller than an 80/100-21. This is NOT trivial as AxlBundy points out (BTW, I'm from Blaine, MN - grew up on Laddie Lake).
Mar 29, 2018 路 The 90/100 is 10mm wider and 10mm than a 90/90 - 80/100 tire. (at least in a michelin). Wider foot print, more traction on harder surfaces, and potentially better in sand as well. Interestingly, the Michelin "sand" front ONLY comes in an 80/100 ! (there has to be some thought that goes into why). I asked Kyle McCafee and a couple other faster
So 2.75x18 and 3x18 means 2.75 inches and 3 inches wide tires. In case of 80/100, it is 80 mm wide. And other people on Reddit itself said 2.75x18 and 80/100 have same width. They are just having different naming systems. I found these two tire naming in 2 different motorcycles (110 cc). Both had almost same specs.
120/90-R10 tires are 2.13 inches (54 mm) larger in diameter than 90/90-R10 tires and the speedometer difference is 11.5%.
80/90-R21 tires are 0.94 inches (24 mm) smaller in diameter than 120/70-R21 tires and the speedometer difference is 3.4%.
Nov 14, 2018 路 As mentioned in a previous post, I went from the stock 80/100-21 to a 90/100-21 on my trail ridden CRF250X. So a 10mm increase in width and, a 10mm increase in sidewall height. Quite a bit more rubber so meaning: more sidewall height to flex, increased weight and rolling inertia. Difference was immediately noticeable,
